AUTOSET GENERAL FEATURES:
  • The time and date information already stored in the clock.
  • Uses a 3v Lithium Battery, expected to last for 8 years, to drive the data back-up.
  • Uses two 1.5v AA batteries, expected to last for one year, to drive the clock movement.
  • An internal low battery detector monitors the two AA batteries. When the batteries are low, the clock will stop at 12:00, indicating you should replace the AA batteries. Also, a low-battery icon will be flashing on the LCD display in back.
  • Every first Sunday in April, at 2:00 a.m., the clock will automatically fast forward to 3:00 am. (if the DST mode is ‘ON’)
  • Every last Sunday in October, at 2:00a.m., the clock will automatically stop for 1 hour, effectively restoring the DST time to the standard time. (Assumes the DST mode is ON).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR GENERAL USE:
  1. Before inserting the AA batteries into compartment (6), check that the clock's hour & minute hands are at 12:00, and adjust to the proper timezone by 1st sliding the MODE selector switch (8) to TIME SET and then sliding the TIMEZONE switch (5) to the correct zone. Verify that the DIGITAL display (4) reads the correct time, then slide the MODE switch (8) back to RUN.
  2. Put in the AA batteries and the clock will fast forward to the correct time, synchronizing with the DIGITAL display. (Note: when the AA batteries are not inserted, the low-battery icon will be flashing on the DIGITAL display).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPLACING 3V LITHIUM BATTERY AND RESTORING DATA BACK-UP:
First, remove the AA batteries and check that the clock hands are set to 12:00*, the timezone switch is correct, and DST button is on before replacing the 3V lithium battery and re-setting the LCD data back-up.
  1. Open the round battery cover (7) and replace the battery with a fresh CR2032 lithium battery. Replace the cover and screw into place.
  2. DATA SETTING MODE OPERATION:
    • A SETUP icon will be flashing on the LCD window (4).
    • Slide MODE switch (8) to TIME and press button (1) to set the hour, and press button (2) to set the minute. Note the ‘PM’ indicator on the LCD display.

    • Insert fresh AA batteries into compartment (6). Clock will fast forward to the correct time and synchronize with the LCD display.

• To set the clock to exactly 12:00:00 requires the second hand to be at 12:00 position also. The only way to do that is to manually set the H/M hands to 12:00 while the AA batteries are still installed, slide the MODE switch to TIME Set and press and hold the Sec. button (3) until the second hand is at 12:00. Then remove the AA batteries to reset the data back-up.
